COACHING STAFF

Coach Zack Chilton brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Justice University’s new men’s baseball program. A graduate of Williams Field High School, he served as a co-captain and began his coaching journey by working with the team’s underclass catchers. He continued his playing career at the University of Sioux Falls (DII) before transferring to the University of Saint Katherine (San Marcos, CA), where his team reached the NCCAA World Series, finishing #5 in the nation. After completing his playing career, Coach Chilton returned to Williams Field High School, where he coached catchers and hitters while learning the intricacies of leading a team. He then transitioned to AZ Pro Scout Baseball, initially taking over the 16U roster under the mentorship of Therron Brockish, a veteran with 30+ years of experience at every level of the game. Specializing in helping elite high school players find college opportunities, he later advanced to lead the AZ Pro Senior Scout team and the AZ Pro Collegiate team. His expertise was recognized when he was selected as the Collegiate League All-Star Team coach for two consecutive seasons. With a deep passion for player development, Coach Chilton has studied under some of the best minds in baseball, continuously refining his coaching methods. His dedication to teaching, mentoring, and building top-tier talent makes him the ideal leader to launch and grow Justice University baseball into a competitive program.
Jake Suddreth is a passionate and hardworking coach excited to launch the new men’s baseball program as the team's pitching coach. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Jake posted a 1.22 ERA at 2015 state champion Mesquite High School. After redshirting at Hawaii Pacific University, he excelled at Mesa Community College, earning DII JUCO All-American honors and setting national records with 16 saves. He continued his collegiate career at BYU, Florida State University, and West Texas A&M, where he helped win a conference title and completed his MBA in Marketing. Jake signed with the Chicago White Sox in 2021 after his fastball development caught national attention. He later helped lead the Grand Junction Rockies to their first-ever Pioneer League Championship. Following his playing career, Jake founded PDP Athletics in Chandler, Arizona, where he has trained athletes from youth to professional levels. He is Driveline Certified in Pitch Design and SQUARE 1 Level 1 Certified, specializing in biomechanics, pitch development, and injury prevention.

Training & Facilities
The Justice University men’s baseball program is committed to providing high quality training environments for student athletes as the program prepares for its inaugural 2025 2026 season. On campus, players will have access to a fully equipped weight room to support strength and conditioning.
In addition, off campus training opportunities are available through PDP Athletics, an indoor baseball performance facility equipped with state of the art training technology and professional grade equipment. This partnership provides players with access to advanced hitting, pitching, and strength development resources throughout the year.
While home games will be played at off campus fields during the upcoming season, Justice University is excited to move forward with plans for a full sized regulation baseball field on campus. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and will establish a permanent home for Justice University baseball.
